The English Montreal School Board (EMSB) is proud to welcome new students for Kindergarten for four and five year olds (K4-K5), and beyond!
Registration week is from February 2 to 6, 2026.

Please bring the following documents with you to the school
- The child's long-form birth certificate, showing both parents' names.
- Certificate of Eligibility Form (If your child does not yet have the certificate, please print and complete once available)
- The Certificate of Eligibility or permanent code of the child, parent, or sibling whose eligibility is being used.
- Proof of Canadian citizenship of the child, parent, or sibling whose eligibility is being used.
- Proof of Quebec residence (lease, driver's license, utility bill, etc.) (Only for students born outside of Quebec)
- A copy of the “Carnet de Santé” (all pages).

If you do not have a Certificate of Eligibility
In order to qualify for English Instruction in Quebec Public Schools, students must meet certain eligibility criteria under the Charter of the French Language as set out by the Quebec government.

If you have a Certificate of Eligibility
You must bring the following documents with you to register your child. Originals of these forms can be brought to the school:
- Long Version Birth Certificate (showing both parents' names)
- Immigration papers (required if not born in Canada)
- Certificate of Eligibility
- Proof of residence (lease and driver's licence/utility invoice etc.)
Required only if
child was born outside Quebec - Citizenship of parent
- Child's most recent report card (for grades 1 to 6)
- Vaccination booklet
