Last Week before the Holidays Itinerary

Thursday, December 5, 2019

Dear Parents and Guardians of the Dalkeith Community,

I know it is hard to believe but the holidays are almost here. I know everyone’s schedule is hectic at this time of year so I wanted to remind you of some important dates and tell you about some activities going on at Dalkeith leading up to the last day.

Last Week before the Holidays Itinerary

Monday, December 16th, 2019:
Annual tree trimming plus milk and TIMBITS for the students. Our good friend and local Tim Horton’s owner Manfred Raaber is providing the whole school with Timbits that morning. N.B. Timbits do not contain nuts but are made at Tim Hortons. Students with nut allergies will be provided an alternative treat.

Tuesday, December 17th, 2019:
Annual Breakfast with Santa in the Gym. Once again our good friends at The Generations Foundation will be providing a waffle and cereal breakfast for all the students of Dalkeith Elementary. Please note, this breakfast COULD replace the snack but NOT lunch. Furthermore, this is not a dress down day but students will be permitted to wear their “Dalkeith” gym shirt in place of their polo. Sorry parents, this is a student only event.

Again the breakfast is free but we ask for a donation of non-perishable food for our food drive.

Thursday, December 19th, 2019:
Holiday Christmas Concert begins at 1:30 p.m. sharp! Door-crashers be advised that the doors will only be opened for you at 1:00 p.m. no earlier. Also, sorry there is no reserved seating. Parents and Grandparents are welcome.

Friday, December 20th, 2019:
Last regular day before the holidays.

Monday, January 6th, 2020:
First day back after the holidays

On behalf of the staff, I wish you all a safe and restful holiday and wish a healthy and prosperous New Year to you and your whole family.  As always, if you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us.
